The Hamburg Innovation Summit (HHIS) is returning after a one-year break and will present itself in new splendor in the Oberhafenquartier on September 12, 2024. Startups and founders can expect a program full of networking, innovative insights and practical workshops. One highlight will be the Hamburg Innovation Awards (HHIA), which recognize innovative ideas and companies.
After a one-year break, the Hamburg Innovation Summit (HHIS) is entering its next round in the Oberhafenquartier. The motto “Innovations made in Hamburg – worth sharing with the world” underlines Hamburg’s importance as a location for innovation. The focus is not only on technical innovations, but also on social, cultural and creative innovations. The HHIS offers a platform where founders and innovators can present their ideas and make valuable connections.
Connect. Collaborate. Create. – The motto of the HHIS
With the leitmotifs “Connect. Collaborate. Create.”, HHIS offers the opportunity to network with like-minded people and break new ground together. Participants can attend exciting talks, masterclasses and expos in a free-flow format. The Networking Night offers additional space for intensive discussions and new contacts.
Hamburg Innovation Awards: Stage for innovative minds
A special highlight of HHIS 2024 will be the Hamburg Innovation Awards (HHIA), which will be presented on September 12. These awards offer start-ups and young companies a unique opportunity to present their innovations to a broad audience and receive recognition. Organized by Nils Neumann and Hamburg Innovation, the HHIA awards recognize the best ideas and achievements in three categories: IDEA for innovative business ideas in the start-up phase, START for young companies that have been in existence for ten years or less, and GROWTH for established companies with new product lines or processes. The winners not only receive prize money of 5,000 euros, but also valuable visibility and the opportunity to present themselves at HHIS free of charge.
Top-class speakers and exciting personalities
A large number of players from politics, business, science and the innovation scene will gather: High-ranking political representatives such as Hamburg’s Senator for Economics and Innovation, Dr. Melanie Leonhard, and the Second Mayor, Katharina Fegebank, will open the summit with a panel discussion on the topic of “Business x Science”, while the First Mayor, Dr. Peter Tschentscher, will lead a press tour of the site. In addition to these political figures, inspiring personalities such as Micha Fritz, co-founder of Viva con Agua, entrepreneur and investor Janna Ensthaler from the show “Die Höhle des Löwen” and actress Dayan Kodua, founder of Gratitude Verlag, will also be on stage to share their experiences and visions. Under the motto “Courageous innovation culture”, “Thinking big about innovation” and “Strong commitment”, they will provide inspiration for participants. In addition, the summit’s “Meet the Local Heroes” panel discussion will be dedicated to Hamburg personalities who are shaping the city with their innovative concepts, while three stages will address various innovation topics from different perspectives, including the start-up scene.
Diverse supporting program and interactive exhibitions
A varied supporting program awaits participants away from the stages. Start the day with yoga, ask your questions at the “Founders Barbecue” and discover the trends of tomorrow on the Innovation Playground. Young start-ups can present their innovations in interactive exhibition areas and gain valuable visibility.
Tickets and registration
Tickets for the HHIS 2024 cost 155 euros, reduced 25 euros for students and trainees. A limited number of solidarity tickets are available on request.
