The Startup Port @TUHH has successfully acquired a second grant as part of the EXIST Women programme. This means that it will also be possible to provide female founders with targeted support in the development and realisation of their business ideas in 2025. This programme, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK), is aimed specifically at women who want to further develop an innovative business idea and put it on the path to founding a company.
Who can apply?
The EXIST Women programme is aimed at individual female founders or teams with a joint start-up idea. The aim is to further develop the idea and prepare an application for an EXIST start-up grant, for example. The prerequisite is that no company has yet been founded and no participation in another start-up support programme has taken place to date.
What does the programme offer?
The programme includes numerous support services to help female founders on their way in the best possible way:
- Financial support: A monthly grant of 1,000 to 3,000 euros for up to three months and 2,000 euros for material resources.
- Workshops and qualification programmes: Participation in specialised workshops and the newly launched Crew Barcelona programme, which offers qualification opportunities and networking possibilities.
- Mentoring: Personal support from experienced female founders.
- Network: Access to a network of EXIST Women founders from other universities in the Hamburg metropolitan region.
- Infrastructure: Optional access to office space during the programme.
How does the programme work?
The programme officially begins with participation in Crew Barcelona on 1 April 2025. A joint workshop weekend will take place in Steinberghaff in April 2025 and is mandatory for all participants. In the further course of the programme, there will be regular reflection workshops to accompany and support the progress of the participants.
How does the application process work?
Interested female founders can apply in writing. After submitting the documents by 7 February 2025.
