Starting a business is about more than business plans and pitch decks, it is also about self-management, resilience and dealing with uncertainty. This is exactly where this start-up toolbox comes in: We focus on the inner qualities that founders need in order to navigate the ups and downs of the start-up process sustainably and with clarity.
In this toolbox, you will first be introduced to the Inner Development Goals. We would then like to explore the topic of self-assessment and reflection with you and show you examples of application in the start-up process so that you can use the IDGs for your daily work and your personal goals. The workshop is aimed at all those who not only want to found a company, but also want to have a sustainable and meaningful impact.
The description
The Inner Development Goals (IDG) initiative aims to achieve a sustainable and secure future through people’s conscious and sustainable actions. However, the initiators of the IDGs have noticed a blind spot in sustainability work: There is a lot of knowledge about problems and possible solutions, but too little about the skills and inner qualities that people need to actively shape this change.
For this reason, the Inner Development Goals Initiative has the following objective:
- Identify which inner competencies (skills, attitude, values) are necessary for sustainable change
- Supporting individuals, organizations and educational institutions in developing these skills
- Promotion of systemic thinking, personal growth and responsible action
Target group
The start-up toolbox is aimed at people interested in setting up their own business, with or without their own business idea, from the university environment in the Hamburg metropolitan region.
