Are you an alumna or alumnus of the University of Hamburg and interested in starting a business—perhaps you’ve been thinking about it for a while? Then the Alumni Lunch, organized by the University of Hamburg’s Alumni Office and the startup advisory service at StartupPort@UHH, is the perfect event for you. Here, we’ll discuss all the options available to help you turn your entrepreneurial ambitions and plans into reality.
The theme of the alumni lunch: “You’re still part of the university—and we’re still here for you.”
What can you expect?
After opening remarks by Noomi Peter (University of Hamburg, Alumni Management) and an overview of our collaboration with the startup consulting service at Startup Port@UHH, we’ll dive right in.
- Together with other alumni, we’ll show you how to turn your idea into a viable business model—whether as a startup, a solo entrepreneur, or through a social project.
- A special highlight: An alumni guest who has started his own business will share his personal experiences, lessons learned, and insights with anyone considering striking out on their own—honest, practical, and inspiring!
You’ll get inspiration and answers to questions such as:
- How do I get started with my idea?
- Where can I find advice, networks, and funding programs?
- How do I find and build a good team?
- What are the next steps I need to take to put this into practice?
We look forward to an engaging discussion with you—featuring real-life experiences, practical tips, and plenty of time for your questions!
