FAQ
INTIE is a two-semester university program for students at the seven collaborative universities. We offer students an exclusive and practical continuing education program in addition to their main studies. All information about the program and the application can be found at intie.de.
No! On the contrary, INTIE is about interdisciplinarity – the collaboration of different departments and universities. Of course, the topics should interest and motivate you, but we do not require a specific degree, but will ensure that the cohort is diverse.
You should have about 10 hours per week for the program. We have taken into account the compatibility with studies and possible part-time jobs in the design of the program.
No, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to get inspired and brainstorm ideas for potential business ideas during your first semester. Then, at the beginning of the second semester, interdisciplinary teams form around promising ideas that they want to develop further.
Yes, because the program originates from Startup Port, a joint project of the following universities: Uni Hamburg, TUHH, HAW Hamburg, Leuphana, FH Wedel, HSU and UKE. If you study at one of the universities, you can apply to INTIE.
No, all events will be held during normal lecture hours. If there are exceptions for individual events, you will be informed as soon as possible.
Yes, however, you have to take care of the creditability yourself. The Future Trends and Prototype & Pitch seminars each comprise 6 ECTS points. If a creditability for your studies is possible (e.g. as a minor subject), we will support you.
No, scheduling conflicts can never be completely prevented – as long as you regularly attend our events and only miss a few, it’s not a problem.
Canceling motivated students really hurts us! Our program unfortunately only has 12 spots this first year, which means we can’t guarantee everyone a spot. If time works for you, apply again next year, we would love to have you.
First of all, congratulations, we are happy to welcome you on board. You will receive further details about the program after you have been accepted. On November 12/13 we will all get to know each other at the Kick-Off Weekend and you will get the last information for your start in the program.
