DESY Start-up School: Info Session
That’s what it’s all about
This online info session offers a practical introduction to the Start-up School and helps prospective applicants assess whether the program is a good fit for their idea.
What can you expect from the Info Session?
The session will start with a 10-minute overview of the application process and selection criteria, followed by an open Q&A.
The final 30 minutes will be an interactive value proposition exercise led by Charlelie Jourdan, supporting participants in clearly framing their idea and its potential value – a key element of a strong application.
Everything should lead you to a decision as to whether you want to participate in the Desy Start-up School.
What is the DESY Start-up School?
The DESY Start-up School has a unique focus on business models in the scientific services sector. Participants will receive one-on-one coaching from experienced CEOs of scientific service companies, attend webinars on start-up fundamentals, and benefit from communication and pitch training, as well as consultation sessions, provided by the DESY Start-up Office.
The DESY Start-up School is part of the PETRA IV pre-project and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
It is conducted in Cooperation with the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Program – Content and Duration of the DESY Start-up School
The program provides knowledge in business development, funding, budgeting, networking, marketing, and communications, helping participants on their journey to becoming a unique kind of entrepreneur: sciencepreneurs.
