Do you have an exciting idea and are looking for the right people to turn it into a startup? Do you want to start a business but don’t have a business idea of your own yet? Or are you working in academia and wondering what opportunities might arise from research and scientific expertise?
Then Co-Founder Meet&Match is just the thing for you.
At this event, Startup Port, the Center for Entrepreneurship (ZfE) at the University of Kiel, and Science Comes To Town will bring together people with ideas, skills, and an interest in starting a business at Kiel City Hall. The goal is to help form new startup teams and foster exchange between academia, business, and the startup community.
What can you expect?
Startup Pitches
Do you have an idea and want to present it on stage? Even before the event begins, we’ll offer elevator pitch training so you can present your idea in a compelling way. Afterward, you’ll have the opportunity to give a short pitch on stage to show what you’re working on and what kind of co-founders you’re looking for.
Wall of Ideas
All startup ideas will also be showcased in a poster exhibition. This way, you can discover exciting projects in a relaxed atmosphere, ask questions, and strike up a conversation directly with the founders.
Networking & Matchmaking
Meet people whose skills complement your idea—or find a startup you’d like to join. Whether it’s business, technology, science, design, or communication: Successful startup teams are built on diverse perspectives and skills.
Of particular interest to researchers
Innovative startups often emerge where new (scientific) findings meet entrepreneurial thinking. That is why the Co-Founder Meet&Match is specifically aimed at researchers, doctoral candidates, research assistants, and students from all disciplines.
As a guest interested in starting a business, you don’t need to have a fully developed business idea or any experience in entrepreneurship. Perhaps this afternoon will be the first time you discover how your expertise can become part of an innovative startup.
